Yoshiharu Ikeda, Ph.D.

Mr. Ikeda joined Sunovion in January 2012 as Executive Vice President, Corporate Strategy. Most recently, Mr. Ikeda served as an Executive Officer of Dainippon Sumitomo Pharma (DSP) and led the organization’s Corporate Planning Department.  As part of his responsibilities, he established DSP’s current mid-term business plan from 2010 to 2014 and played a leadership role in the integration of R&D activities of Sunovion and DSP. As an experienced leader, Dr. Ikeda joined DSP in 1985 after receiving his Ph.D. in Pharmaceuticals from Osaka University. In addition, he was a post doctoral fellow at Harvard University from 1990 to 1992.
