Check Out Our Benefits

At Sunovion, we have a comprehensive benefits program that offers employees and their eligible dependents the variety and flexibility to help meet their needs at different stages in life. Beginning the day you're hired, you may select medical, dental, vision and flexible spending accounts and take part in other programs.

 


Medical Options

Sunovion offers two plan designs through Blue Cross Blue Shield, which has one of the nation's largest networks. A traditional PPO plan and a High Deductible plan with a nationwide network are available to all employees.


Dental Benefits

Dental coverage is provided by Delta Dental Premiere USA, one of the largest providers in the country. Comprehensive coverage ranges from 100% coverage for preventative and routine care, to 50% for major restorative services. Orthodontia is also available for children and adults.


Vision Benefits

Vision coverage is provided by Vision Service Plan (VSP), a national company providing eye examinations and eyewear through a large network of optometrists, ophthalmologists, and retail eyewear locations throughout the country.


Short-Term Disability

Short-term disability coverage is provided, beginning on the first day of employment. If an employee is unable to work because of an illness or injury, they may be eligible for 100% of their base pay up to 90 days. After 90 days and through 180 days, receive 80% of base pay. This benefit is paid entirely by Sunovion.


Long-Term Disability

Long-Term Disability insurance is provided in the event you are unable to work after 180 days of Short-Term Disability. LTD benefit equals 60% of base pay—tax free, up to a monthly maximum of $15,000. This benefit is paid by Sunovion.


Life and AD&D Insurance

Basic Employee and Dependent Life Insurance
Sunovion's group term life and Accidental Death & Dismemberment insurance plans are at no cost to the employee. Coverage is equal to two times annual salary, up to a maximum of $1,000,000. Spouse Life Insurance in the amount of $10,000 and Child(ren) Life Insurance in the amount of $5,000 per child are also provided at no cost.

Supplemental Employee and Spousal Life Insurance
Additional employee life insurance coverage can be purchased from 1x-8x annual salary. Additional spouse life insurance coverage can be purchased up to $100,000.


Flexible Spending Accounts

Flexible spending accounts, also known as FSAs, are accounts that are used to pay uncovered, eligible medical, dental, and dependent care expenses on a pre-tax basis. Sunovion offers both medical and dependent care spending accounts.


401(k) Plan

Any full-time and part-time employees are eligible to join the Sunovion 401(k) plan through Fidelity Investments on their date of hire.

Employee Contributions
The Sunovion 401(k) plan offers the opportunity to save for retirement by investing in a traditional pre-taxed account as well as a post-taxed Roth 401(k) account. The 401(k) plan offers a range of 14 professionally managed mutual funds and age based retirement-ready funds in which Fidelity balances the fund allocation based on a planned retirement date (i.e. Freedom Funds). Employees can contribute between 1% and 90% of their salary (subject to IRS limits).

Employer Matching Contributions
Sunovion helps employees save for retirement by making contributions to their account. Sunovion will match 100% of the first 5% of pay contributed. All matching contributions made by Sunovion are 100% vested.

WORK/LIFE PROGRAMS


Adoption Assistance

Sunovion offers an Adoption Assistance benefit to support our employees who are adoptive parents. Employees are eligible for reimbursement up to a maximum of $5,000 per child. In addition, employees will be provided paid leave benefits similar to birth parents.


Tuition Assistance

Sunovion offers a competitive reimbursement program for course books, lab fees, and tuition, offering the ability to achieve educational and career goals. The annual reimbursement is up to a maximum of $10,000 per calendar year.


Employee Assistance Program (EAP)

The EAP is a telephone assistance and referral service, provided by Kathleen Greer Associates. They provide confidential assessments, referrals, and services to employees and/or their family members who may be experiencing personal problems, legal matters, emotional problems, financial concerns, etc. This benefit is paid entirely by Sunovion.


Vacation and Holidays

The first year, employees will accrue up to 12 days. One additional day of vacation will begin to accrue on your anniversary date of employment at different milestones up to a maximum of twenty-three (23) days per year. Sunovion provides 9 fixed holidays per year; also employees are eligible for three personal float holidays during the calendar year (float holidays will be pro-rated for those hired during the year). In addition, we usually close the week between Christmas and New Years, providing employees with additional paid time off.


529 College Savings Plan

Sunovion has partnered with Fidelity to offer a 529 College Savings Plan. This plan accepts after-tax contributions via payroll deduction, and grows tax-free. When you withdraw the funds to pay for qualified higher education-related expenses, you pay no federal, and in most cases, no state income tax.
